Ministry: Russia threshes 76.6 mln tns of grain as of Friday

MOSCOW, Aug 23 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers threshed 76.6 million tonnes of grain in bunker weight from 24.7 million hectares as of Friday after 74.1 million tonnes from 24.6 million hectares as of the same date last year, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.

The crop yield rose 3% on the year to 31 metric centners per hectare.

The Agriculture Ministry expects the Russian grain harvest to amount to 118 million tonnes in 2019.
